Following the success of IS.Rivers 2012, the GRAIE and ZABR are launching the second edition of IS.Rivers in 2015, which will focus on the sustainable management of the world’s rivers, especially European ones.
IS.Rivers 2015 will be held from 22nd to 26th June, 2015 at the University of Lyon 2, France. It is organised by ZABR and the GRAIE.
IS.Rivers is an international conference dedicated to research and practices on natural and human-impacted large rivers, in particular functioning, changes and processes, interface and interactions, management policies, engineering.
It is part of a dual international context: the European Water Framework Directive and the achievement of good environmental status of streams in 2015 and the international programme features for development post-2015 to face climate changes (COP 21).
It aims to promote multidisciplinary approaches (between scientific knowledge and feedback on management practices) and to engage all stakeholders (research and management professionals) to stimulate european and international collaboration.
